Control Room Turns “Pretty Privilege” Into a Club-Ready track with “NO ID”

Canadian bass house duo Control Room return with NO ID,” a late-night club record created alongside Broken Future and Lovlee, out now via Divided Souls.

Inspired by the social dynamics of nightlife, including themes loosely tied to “pretty privilege” and access culture, the track transforms unspoken club hierarchies into a driving, high-impact bass house cut. “NO ID” doesn’t just aim for the dance floor; it reflects the energy, tension, and allure that reflect it.

With a tight, rolling bass-line and crisp, punchy percussion, the track locks into a steady groove designed for peak-time sets. Lovlee’s vocals deliver a hypnotic top line that cuts through the mix with the perfect amount of attitude, adding a layer of allure without overwhelming the instrumental core.

We wanted to write a tune for the backstage baddies. We brought in the Miami vibe and think we have a perfect tune for the club.

The result is a record that feels perfectly at home in dimly lit club rooms and festival peak sets, driven by groove and energy and late-night sensibility.

ABOUT CONTROL ROOM

Control Room is a Canadian bass house duo composed of Paul Biegel and Caleb Larsen. The pair first met while studying power engineering, then worked together as control room operators in the oil and gas industry, a shared background that ultimately inspired both their partnership and the project name.

After discovering a mutual passion for electronic music, they began producing and DJing, developing their sound in underground spaces across Canada. Their approach is rooted in dance floor functionality: strong bass lines, focused synth work, and punchy percussion designed to keep energy moving without unnecessary complexity.

Control Room’s music has received support across major stages and platforms, including EDC Las Vegas, HARD Summer, Shambhala, Burning Man, Lost Lands, Tomorrowland, and Ultra, as well as airplay on Diplo’s Revolution (SiriusXM) and Insomniac Radio. They’ve also earned support from artists such as Dr. Fresch, BIJOU, Habstrakt, and Wax Motif.

As their profile grows, Control Room stays focused on delivering direct, high-impact club music for DJs and dance floors worldwide.
